Peace River Woodturners Inc. (PRW) is an organization formed for individuals interested in woodturning and was formed on Oct 1, 2007. The primary purposes of PRW are consistent with the fundamental purposes of the American Association of Woodturners: To provide information, education and an organization for those interested in turning wood.


In addition to the primary purposes, intentions of the PRW are to:

  1.   Provide a local meeting place for woodturners.

  2.   Share ideas regarding woodturning.

  3.   Exchange wood and other woodturning materials.

  4.   Inform members about activities of interest to woodturners.

  5.   Promote woodturning as a valued art form and craft.

This detailed replica of the Edison phonograph on display at the Edison Ford Museum in Ft. Myers was crafted by 14 members of the PRW in 2013 and won

FIRST PLACE TECHNICAL at the 

AAW Annual Convention in Tampa.
